Net Control Script

Net control operators can use this script as a guide for the net. It can be changed to help with the flow of the net or to make it easier on the NCS.

19:30 Start Time

Good Evening, this is [Phonetic Callsign], my name is [Name], and I will be your Net Control for this week’s edition of the Texas Statewide DMR Net. My QTH is [Location], Texas, which is [give a general reference area], (i.e. South End of DFW Airport). This net is transmitting on the LONESTAR network, Talkgroup 3148, commonly referred to as the Texas Statewide or Lonestar talkgroup. All licensed Amateur Operators holding a technician class license or higher are welcomed and encouraged to join the net.

The purpose of this net is to promote and discuss DMR for Amateur Radio Operators. Discussion topics can include introductions from hams who are new to DMR; new DMR repeaters in your area; new DMR radios you have heard about or recently acquired, or any technical support you might need.

This is a directed Net, so please wait to be acknowledged by Net Control before proceeding with your comments. Comments and questions of any subject related to DMR or Amateur Radio, in general, are acceptable. Anyone from any location is welcome and encouraged to check in.
